Side effects and watch-outs

  • ⚠️ GI distress (cramping, diarrhoea — very common initially)
  • ⚠️ Hypoglycaemia risk with diabetes medications
  • CYP3A4 inhibitor — many drug interactions
  • Constipation at lower doses
  • ⚠️ Avoid in pregnancy (uterotonic)
