Resveratrol

Polyphenol from red wine and grapes. Activates SIRT1 and AMPK. Anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective. Trans-resveratrol is the active form. Poor oral bioavailability unless taken with fat. Combined with NMN/NR in many longevity protocols.

Side effects and watch-outs

  • GI upset (especially at high doses — diarrhoea)
  • Nausea
