Side effects and watch-outs
- Dizziness (orthostatic hypotension)
- ⚠️ Hyperkalaemia (elevated potassium) — avoid in kidney disease and with potassium supplements
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Rare: angioedema — seek emergency care if throat/tongue swelling occurs
- ⚠️ Contraindicated in pregnancy
- Avoid with ACE inhibitors or potassium-sparing diuretics
